Obama's Prescription For America Infomercial

I heard that last night the famous one, Barry Hussein Obama, the most revered president of all time, whose devoted fans flock to every time he makes an appearance, aired an infomercial about the Obama health care plan last night.

And I heard the ratings sucked.

Obama's message sucked even more.

ABC, the propaganda wing of the White House (All Barack Channel?), agreed to air the informercial, slobbering all over the president, and not daring to even consider the possibility that there might be an opposing view somewhere out there.

Obama is trying to convince everyone that a government program in the health insurance industry will not be mandatory, will not kill the private industry, and will in fact create a level playing field.

The money promised to be spent on it is astronomical, and the plan will only cover a third of the folks currently without insurance, according to the statistics put out by the Congressional Budget Office.

In the infomercial Obama assured us that the "public plan wouldn't create an unlevel playing field because the plan itself would have to play by the rules it sets."

Imagine playing Monopoly with someone that said, to keep the game fair, you needed to play by their rules (of which they could change at any time they choose), and if they ran out of money they could just make more, but you had to make a profit to stay in the game. How would you fare against your competitor?

Private Insurance, in order to stay in business, must make a profit (you know, that funny little thing the Left demonizes, though "profit" is the whole point about being in business in the first place). The government is going to expect everyone to pay taxes into the system, and will try to keep the cost to the patient as low as possible when it comes to visits (which will eventually lead to the rationing of care). As a result, since we have to pay for it anyway, 70% of Americans (at least that many) will make the move over to the Public System. This will be devastating to the private industry, and making a profit in order to stay in business will become impossible. The government, by the way, doesn't have to make a profit to stay in business. Obama has already proven his strategy. If the government gets into trouble, they'll just print more money - who cares about inflation?

How can a private industry who needs to make a profit survive against another player in the industry that is making the rules, refereeing the game it is playing, and printing money at will?

Obama knows darn well that his plan is disastrous for America, but what is best for this country is not his concern. Making the most prosperous nation on Earth a failing socialistic entity more like European nations, and gaining more control over private industries, is his main priority - and the American People are beginning to realize it - hence, one of the reasons for the lousy television ratings last night for Obama.
