Trump's Lower Court

By Douglas V. Gibbs

President Donald J. Trump does not understand the U.S. Constitution.  Going into the race for the White House he wasn't even sure where he fit in when it came to the jumbled system dominated by an establishment machine in the political world.  He was raised with Christianity nipping at his heels, but was not even sure about what he believed when it came to his faith.  All he knew is that Islamic terrorism and illegal aliens were important issues to him, and the Republicans weren't talking about those topics as much as he desired.  So, he ran for President.

In the process the Democrat Party, and the allied minions of the party of the raging donkey, went nuts on Trump.  The attacks have been absolutely incredible, and the left's reaction to Trump's candidacy literally threw the man into the arms of conservatives, Christians and constitutionalists.  In return, while he's still trying to figure out the U.S. Constitution, his alleged conservatism, and his Faith, Trump has done something absolutely amazing.  He has surrounded himself with some of the best people available.

When Henry Ford was asked about his success, he allegedly said, "I am not the smartest, but I surround myself with competent people."

As the old saying goes, "If you find someone better than you, hire him, and pay him more than you pay yourself."

In his new role as President of the United States Donald J. Trump has done exactly that.  His cabinet and advisers consist of the greatest conservative and Christian minds available.

When it came to his appointments to the inferior federal courts, Trump also didn't skip a beat.  President Trump’s Lower-Court Nominees Are As Good As His SCOTUS Pick, reported The Federalist.  His nearly two dozen picks for the federal court system have not only been phenomenal, but there is still a stellar list left to choose from with more fantastic judicial nominees on it.

On his list for United States Supreme Court, Gorsuch was a star among stars.  But, that list was not only for the highest court.  The beauty of it is that last month’s stellar list can continue to be salvaged for more and more lower-court nominees as the necessity arises.

The list is filled with more than competent State justices, Cato Institute stars and constitutionally-minded scholars whose originalist view of the U.S. Constitution dims Scalia's fantastic record.  All of them are incredibly strong nominees, and the growth of the list has only just begun.

Has Mr. Trump been perfect in everything he's done?  Far from it.  But, despite his shortcomings on some things, his ability to surround himself, and America, with the best of the best minds, has been an incredible thing to watch.  The people counseling Trump on judges has done a great job, and the new names keep popping up.  In short, Trump is appointing the best judges, and our road back to the original intent of the Constitution is dependent upon breaking the iron grip activist judges have on the unconstitutional interpretations we've been experiencing.

If we keep this up, we may see something unprecedented. . . a court system intent on making America Constitutional Again.
